The Toronto-based international rally team attempting to become the first Canadian entry to finish the punishing Dakar Rally on four wheels was forced to drop out of the competition this afternoon.
A message on the Team Chinook website said it all:
"Our Dakar 2011 race ended today, Jan. 10th, in the 8th stage. The fan went and we could not get it fixed in time."
