WEEKEND HEADLINES
1. Scott Dixon won the IZOD IndyCar Series race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Sunday but there are questions surrounding Canadian James Hinchcliffe's sponsorship, or lack of, and how quickly IndyCar officials call yellow flags in some instances and not so quickly at other times. See post below, or click here.
2. In mid-week, Brad Keselowski crashed into a wall at Road Atlanta while testing (sorry, I originally wrote Atlanta Motor Speedway) and broke his left ankle. That didn't stop him from driving in Sunday's NASCAR race at Pocono and not only did he drive in it, he won it. Shades of Denny Hamlin, who did almost the same thing a year ago. (Maybe the drivers who need a win should break something. Seems to work . . .) The bigger question, though, is: should Keselowski have been allowed to race? See two posts below, or click here. Oh, and there's a photo there of his busted ankle, all swollen up.
3. Kyle Marcelli of Barrie finished third in the American Le Mans Series race at Mid-Ohio, and first in his class - a first for him. And Robin Buck of Campbellville, Ont., won the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series race at Trois-Rivieres, Que. Plus all the other racing results from the weekend (or most of them, anyway). See three posts below, or click here.
