Canadian Wickens third fastest in F1 test

Canadian Robert Wickens set third fastest time in a test of young drivers in Grand Prix cars at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi today, serving notice that he is ready for prime time in Formula One.

Driving for Lotus-Renault, Wickens - of Guelph and Toronto - finished split seconds behind Jean-Eric Vergne, who he defeated this season in the World Series by Renault Formula 3.5 Series. Vergne was in a Red Bull-Renault.
