Hi Norris
Interesting note re Gerry Grant's passing and his mishap at Mosport.
After the tradgedy it was investigated by CRDA, CRCA the OPP and a seized engine was determined to be the cause of the car going out of control.
Locations for blue flag marshals at Mosport were established with input from drivers, track organizers, the chief course marshal and George Moss who was the Clerk of the course on race day. The locations had not changed for several years during which time no race car losing control at corner two, had ever come close to the spot where Gord was located. The often went straight on at the bottom of the hill from #2 or spun into the infield. A few cars with mechanical problems occasionally did continue into the gravel pit to escape the traffic.

Just an FYI. Thought you might be interestted
