I did watch the NASCAR "Raceday" morning coverag and the prerace discussions, and everybody was toeing the company line like frightened children:
Larry MacReynolds, Mike Wallace, Kyle Petty, Brad Dougherty, Rusty Wallace, and Ray Evernham. They were all gagged by the "Detrimental to NASCAR" rule!
None could express their true opinions (Larry MacReynolds will always agree with whatever the NASCAR officials come up with - he is a faithful soldier). Only Evernham tried to hint it that all was not cosher, but not in a blunt way: How could Jeff gordon be in the Chase and Martin Truex out??
Mike Helton was pathetic, could not provide meaningful reasoning. What a joke of a president!
