Up (to the Minute) Dates

One of the beauties of blogs is that, unlike newspapers, they aren't set in, um, trees.

So, further to yesterday's Post-it post about changes at the National Post, an update, a clarification, an addendum and a change-of-heart.

THE UPDATE: Today on her website, Rachel Marsden announces that she will be writing two columns a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting tomorrow:

  • NOTICE: Read Rachel's columns in the National Post newspaper, every Wednesday and Saturday, starting June 1st/05.

THE CLARIFICATION: Straight from the Post last year:

A story from The Vancouver Sun that appeared in the National Post of May 10 referred to allegations by Liam Donnelly, a swimming coach at Simon Fraser University against Rachel Marsden. SFU discontinued its investigation into the allegations by Mr. Donnelly and Ms. Marsden against each other because of procedural flaws. These allegations were not proven.

THE ADDENDUM: Wow. It is amazing how many of you have a hate on for Marsden, and don't believe she deserves a second chance, as I wrote yesterday.

But read my last few lines again:

Me, I believe everybody deserves a second chance.

So maybe next time, Marsden can give "members of the Bush administration" smarter advice on domestic and foreign policy.

Get it? Get it?

No?

Let's try it again, with different punctuation:

Me, I believe everybody deserves a second chance: So maybe next time, Marsden can give "members of the Bush administration" smarter advice on domestic and foreign policy.

Still, no, hunh?

How about trying it out loud:

Me, I believe everybody deserves a second chance ... pause ... beat ... wait for it ... So maybe next time, Marsden can give "members of the Bush administration" smarter advice on domestic and foreign policy.

Okay, so Jon Stewart won't be calling to offer me a writing job.

CHANGE OF HEART: Some say I don't have one. So forget it.

I just changed my mind about my change of heart.

Bloggers must be bad-ass to be in in business.
