Don't these people watch The West Wing?

Ghost of a Flea rarely gets angry. The otherwise conservative Flea is usually very gay -- as in the old fashioned sense of the word. I love the way he gets us up and dancing to the latest and coolest tunes.

But now he's banging the drum for a good cause: the recognition of all communities in Canada.

Flea zeroes in on Dimitri Soudas, chief spokesperson for Conservative leader Stephen Harper, and his reply to a question about why the would-be prime minister was ''noticeably absent'' from yesterday's massive Gay Pride festivities.

"He was with a proud Muslim community today and a proud Chinese community yesterday. But I don't think that's what you're referring to when you say Pride festivities, is it?"

This is tantamount to negative campaigning.

You know, when you're trying to win friends and influence people, you're supposed to be more diplomatic than that. These guys, and they are guys, need some basic communications lessons ... which is becoming sadly apparent to many of their supporters.
