How could U.S. President George W. Bush have missed all the news on the catastrophic aftermath of Hurrican Katrina? Newsweek has a devastating account:
President Bush knew the storm and its consequences had been bad; but he didn't quite realize how bad.
The reality, say several aides who did not wish to be quoted because it might displease the president, did not really sink in until Thursday night. Some White House staffers were watching the evening news and thought the president needed to see the horrific reports coming out of New Orleans. Counselor Bartlett made up a DVD of the newscasts so Bush could see them in their entirety as he flew down to the Gulf Coast the next morning on Air Force One.
We already know that Bush doesn't read newspaper stories. But he admits to looking at headlines. So how could he have missed all this (scroll down)?
Liar.

And it took Bush how long to read 'My Pet Goat'? Any questions as to why? LMAO! Pretty pictures...that's the ticket!

"...You're a catastrophe that walks like a man. On your watch we've lost almost all of our allies, the budget surplus, four airliners, two trade centers, a piece of the Pentagon and the city of New Orleans. Maybe your just not lucky. I'm not saying you don't love this country. I'm just wondering how much worse it could be if you were on the other side. Yes, God does speak to you. And he's saying: "Take a hint."
