Further to this post last week, today the Globe and Mail eats its young words.
THIS JUST IN
CorrectionA noise complaint filed during a taping of the reality show Canadian Idol last Monday in Toronto did not originate from a CBC staff member. Incorrect information appeared in Globe Review on July 26.
That could happen to anybody. There but for the grace of God etc. etc.
But when the Globe's editorial board seized upon this false item and ran with it -- in an editorial (sub. req'd.) that led with "Really, you can't make this stuff up" -- well, you'd think they would have taken a bit more care.
Oh and by the way: What's up with all the CBC bashing at the Globe lately?
