Is this where Cathal was sitting? I can go? Let the blogging begin.
A lineup for today, then, the Twins here in Dunedin:
Alex Rios, CF
Gregg Zaun, C
Matt Stairs, LF
Frank Thomas, DH
Lyle Overbay, 1B
Adam Lind, RF
John McDonald, SS
Joe Inglett, 3B
Russ Adams 2B
A.J. Burnett, P
The Twinkies, you don't want to know about. Okay, Delmon Young's hitting third. But from there, it goes Jones, Ruiz, Buscher, Macri, Morales and Adam Everett. Most of the Twins are back in Fort Myers dealing with the neighbouring Red Sox. Francisco Liriano is making his spring debut in that one; Jays get to face one Glen Perkins.
Some serious wind here at Knology today. Blowing directly in. Good day to have nobody in the home run pool.
Concluded a couple of things on the way down here. Other than Toronto's Pearson, the two airports I've seen most, lifetime, have to be New York's LaGuardia and Tampa International. Saw all three of 'em again Thursday and my luggage stayed on a little longer in New York. Of all airports, lifetime, the one that smells most like cinamon buns is Tampa.
Another thing: Luggage is overrated. I won't be saying that tomorrow. But that's two flights in a row that things have gone missing - the other being on homecoming part of another raid on Mexico. Of course, that bag had tequila in it. This one ... well, socks. But also all my leisure suits.
First Florida "breakfast:" Strange coffee and stranger cake-like thing from a strange convenience store on the way over from the condo. Much like the last Florida breakfast, as I recall. Note to Star's accounting department: Already, I forgot to get a receipt. A buck-93, it was, including the local newspaper. Guy gave me the whole dime back.
Can't possibly match Cathal's Song-of-the-Day thing, brilliant as it was. Might be able to replace with a Cocktail-of-the-Day, though (but later, okay?). Or a Beer-of-the-Day, which, last night, when I checked in at the condo, the two choices Cathal had arranged were Corona and Corona Light. You don't need to know about those.
Story today could be A.J. Burnett, making his second turn. We hear he's got some kind of toenail problem or something like that. Soon as something goes flying off, we'll keep you posted.
