Midtown East Courtyard...that's where I always stay when in NYC. Walking distance to a great restaurant, HOUSTON'S!

Stay dry. GO JAYS!

The game has not been canceled - it has been postponed. There is a big difference between the two.

CK - Now I definitely would have remembered a classmate named after the first four letters of the alphabet.

Rick

I was greatly disappointed. Not in finding out that the Jays' opener wasn't played (I knew that about 6 hours ago), but in seeing it written that the game was "cancelled."

Sir, the game was not cancelled. Postponed? Yes. But since there is the intent to play the game at a future date (still 162 to go), it was not in any way cancelled.

I expect those who cover my favorite AL team to know the difference. Saying the game was "cancelled" is what I would expect from the paper that serves Petticoat Junction, not the GTA and the best sports fans in North America.

Rick

Blogger's note: Is that you from journalism school editing class, Rick? I've missed you all these years. My profuse apologies - postponed it is.

Paul

Cut Cathal some slack, I was enjoying his blog yesterday and I actually find his baseball blogs funny and informative. The game was postponed, I knew what he meant when he said it was canceled. Keep up the good work Cathal!

Rick

Note to blogger:

I work at a newspaper in Pennsylvania and I was taught even in my radio days and in college the difference between "postponed" and "cancelled."

One other thing: Apology accepted.

Blogger: See? Isn't it nicer when everyone's polite. This may be a first for the Internet.
