Green piece

With a tip 'o the tam to my dear friend and Star colleague Mitch Potter who first introduced me to The Waterboys, here's a little something to get you rocking the cube farm on St. Paddy's Day.

This is the title track from one of my most favourite CDs ever, Fisherman's Blues. It's dedicated to Greenpeace.

Dedicated to Greenpeace? Did they die or something?
Seriously, Zerbs, your taste in music needs to be updated. This song could easily be classified as country and we all know how garbage that genre of music is. This band and their songwriting are very simplistic and not worthy of praise. I know for a fact that you like salsa as well. Need I say more?

Broadsides by Antonia Zerbisias

  • Antonia Zerbisias has been a Star columnist since 1989 but has been telling people what she thinks ever since she could open her mouth. Her career ambition as an opinionator dates back to Grade 9 when a cartoon commentary on a teacher resulted in her suspension from high school. The principal sent her home with a note calling her "rude, obstreperous and bold." Her parents were neither amused, nor surprised. Once she was punished for being that way. Now she makes it pay. And, because she can take it as well as dish it out, she wants to hear what you have to say. Fire away!
