He lies, you decide

Truly, Bill O'Reilly believes his audience is stupid, ignorant, ill-informed and just plain moronic. How else to explain this?

On the June 9 edition of Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor, host Bill O'Reilly falsely claimed that it is "a lie" that he "called George Tiller 'Dr. Killer' while covering his murder last week." O'Reilly made the claim while criticizing a San Francisco Chronicle article that reported his reference to "Dr. Killer." He then added: "Transcripts prove what reporter Joe Garofoli was false."

Oh really? Let's roll the tape shall we?

Maybe transcripts can be falsified but not the facts.

That's why there's Al Franken's book "Lies and the Lying Liars who Tell Them"
It was a good read.
I'm glad that my blood pressure has stayed more reasonable since I have not watched FOX.

Broadsides by Antonia Zerbisias

  • Antonia Zerbisias has been a Star columnist since 1989 but has been telling people what she thinks ever since she could open her mouth. Her career ambition as an opinionator dates back to Grade 9 when a cartoon commentary on a teacher resulted in her suspension from high school. The principal sent her home with a note calling her "rude, obstreperous and bold." Her parents were neither amused, nor surprised. Once she was punished for being that way. Now she makes it pay. And, because she can take it as well as dish it out, she wants to hear what you have to say. Fire away!
