Rapier Wit II

Via Broadsheet:

''Gang rape.'' Har-har.

I bet this girl thought it was a blast. And this woman too.

UPPITY WOMAN DATE: Had to share this comment from friend Camille Tovee when I posted this video on my Facebook profile:

That was beyond disturbing. And yet, when an actual rape does happen, they're so quick to dismiss it. I guess it's only a crime if their pocketbooks are involved.

Sounds like an effort to dilute the meaning of the word through repetition, or maybe an attempt to usurp the meaning of the most evil word they can think of as a way to appear extra hard done by, like cornered animals.

... and yet when a woman working for Haliburton was gang raped and locked up by fellow employees they eagerly stood in the way of her legal rights, and the democrats attempt to protect rape victims.

They only distort facts: http://shar.es/aiY0k, and could not win the argument in a fair debate so they fill the airways with words like "fascism" and "rape". Even Ayn Rand would be disgusted by their lack of rational. They have become the unreasoning mob.

They want to pull a John Galt? For all the fatal flaws in her vision (and even Greenspan her most powerful devotee is ready to admit to that flaw, and supports this administration) the extreme right wing media do not have any of the integrity of Rand's heros... they have no integrity at all. They are as far removed from her heros as i can imagine.

Why would the American people have more faith in drug addled lunatics like Beck or Limbaugh, and the likes of foxnews which commits consumer fraud on a daily basis: http://bit.ly/7I5GaO , http://bit.ly/8BaPn3 etc etc... than a democratically elected government? Polls show the vast majority support a public option and want health care reform, but conservatives still ignore and deny this, and try to demonize and incite violence against the president for lack of a rational argument.

What is really in the health care bill: http://bit.ly/8NkLZd

Broadsides by Antonia Zerbisias

  • Antonia Zerbisias has been a Star columnist since 1989 but has been telling people what she thinks ever since she could open her mouth. Her career ambition as an opinionator dates back to Grade 9 when a cartoon commentary on a teacher resulted in her suspension from high school. The principal sent her home with a note calling her "rude, obstreperous and bold." Her parents were neither amused, nor surprised. Once she was punished for being that way. Now she makes it pay. And, because she can take it as well as dish it out, she wants to hear what you have to say. Fire away!
