Kilometre 1,408 - Here's why we can drive to the Arctic Ocean: Quebec Hydro's La Grande 1, one of eight power dams along the La Grande River that flows almost 1,000 km before emptying into James Bay.
After the completion of the LG-1 dam, an estiamted 9,900 sq km of land has been flooded.
