'What's wrong with this bike lane?' asks cyclists' union
In a new video, the Toronto Cyclists Union asks the question: What's wrong with these bike lanes?
The video, shot by Lisa Logan, features answers from cyclists and drivers on Jarvis St. All drivers that responded to the question are featured, according to the video.
Nearly all the drivers spoken to were for the bike lanes.
"As a driver, I'm okay with the bike lanes," says one.
The only driver who expresses frustration with the lanes on Jarvis St. says she will be glad to see the lanes go.
"The bikes do not pay attention to any of the traffic laws. I can't stand them," she says. "If they would pay attention like we do, they'd get more respect."
The union is using the video to promote awareness on next week's Toronto City Council meeting when council could decide to get rid of the Jarvis bike lanes.
