Very useful tips. The "Focusing to the task" that you mention is a strongly and helpful one, specially when one is an online learner, when motivation and self-discipline have to be strong. It's easily to get distracted when you are in front of the computer.

You have provided some really useful tips for students. One thing that I tell my students, I teach special ed at the high school level., is when you are studying to use a learning plan. I give them a graphic organizer to use to plan their studying. They must make appointments with themselves to study, identify exactly what they are expected to know, explain how they are going to learn the material (see it, say it, do something with it) and then explain how they do the self testing to determine if they do indeed know it. What I have told you sounds confusing , but the graphic organizers makes it clear. Students have good success with the learning plan and I have had students use it when they go to college, and they tell me that the other students in their classes use it as well. If you are interested, I could send you a copy of the organizer. It might be useful to other students as well. Just email me.
