I'd like a bag... and a wet cloth for after.

Honestly, if I were an alien and had to report back on what I found on other planets my report on Earthlings would have to come with an affidavit. They are unbelievable.

The title doesn't go with the story here...!

Here's my suggestion: "Aunt Martha Sought a Second Opinion," by Denise Grady. Yawn.

People seek second opinions all the time. Was Auntie Martha told she wasn't allowed to seek a second opinion? I love her doctor for not sitting on top of her and taping her mouth shut.

Niece Denise wanted a way to fit a boring story into the drama demands of a weekly column. I'm not fooled and nor is the alien.

I think I see a mischievous glint in your eye, Stuart. No, this is not "thought-provoking..." you devil!

Second oppinions should start with patients doing their own research. Alan Geller wrote "Scary Diagnosis" to help we non-medicals do our own research after getting "expert" opinions. Everyone should read it if not for themselves, for family and friends who may need support.
