Irv Weinstein tossing to Late Show nuts. Wonderful, I almost fell out of my high chair. Where do you come up with this!?

Did you know that the town of Cheektowaga has been on fire since the late 70s?

The hardest thing about that Cowboys-Redskins game was enduring what seemed like 18 hours of Al Michaels trying to not come across like the flagrant scene stealing announcer that he is, and John Madden trying to stay awake after that 20th chili dog (boom).

I do believe, however, that Sterling Sharpe's referral to a fallen player in the Oak/KC game as "looking like he just got shot" as being THE new highwater mark in colour commentary. whoo hooo! can't wait for next week. if they keep that kind of stuff up, i won't have to watch the boring game.

the criteria of intelligence should never be used to determine whether something should be done. Just ask Frank "Grimey" Grimes. so glad to see you've pushed forth with your picks. I find many of them insane. Particularly:

- the browns over anyone. If the browns played a split squad game against itself, both sides would lose, somehow. they're a bad luck team with scouting that is almost as bad as the leafs. almost.

- green bay ain't gonna lose at home to TB; not this go around. GB is like my lawn in October; it knows the winter is coming, so it goes into hyper-green mode and looks really nice, even though i didn't do anything to make it that way. GB is going to ride the Favre emotional wave for a couple of games, and then hit the earth, hard. They won't win more than 6 games this year, but TB next week will be 1 of them.

i like the giants losing in SD. all the light and space of SD will mess around with their minds. And the loss of palmer must still be sending shockwaves through the organization. i mean, come one, he was the bachelor. not every team has the pride of saying that.

hey... speaking of pride of saying that. has anyone heard a peep out of the colt's idiot kicker since his Score meltdown a couple of years ago? it's as though dungee and manning did something to his voicebox. hmmmmmm
