At least the year wasn't a total loss for the Leafs and Darcy Tucker.
After all, Tucker scored a career high 28 goals. And over at amiannoying.com, Tucker's annoying quotient (His A rating, as it were) has actually decreased in 2006 -- and indeed, it's gone down for each of the past three years:
2006, as of last week, Out of 1094 Votes: 38.85% Annoying
In 2005, Out of 2778 Votes: 42.01% Annoying
In 2004, Out of 1447 Votes: 42.43% Annoying
In 2003, Out of 168 Votes: 71.43% Annoying

i don't know, though, if any Leaf has the ability to annoy Leaf fans, that's something special. It's reserved for the likes of Belak and Berg and Cross and Gill, typically usually the horrible defencemen that get to linger in Leafland. When a forward is able to pull it off, even if just for a while, that's is some legendary levels of annoying that are for the ages.

Tucker's triple gainers annoy the hell outta me. It's so transparent--how can he not be aware of that? Argh, I wish he'd just quit it--it embarrasses this Leafs fan.

The NHL should have a special trophy for the likes of tucker. Shape the trophy like a bottle of aspirin.

I thought Tucks had a spectacular year. The post-birth run he had was remarkable. He even set-up show below the right face-off circle. His antics were muted big-time. Hell, even the Islanders' color guy was praising his game. I have to say that he gained a lot of my respect back this year. If not for his rib injury, he could've had 40.

I LOVE TUCKER!! I am a huge Leafs fan and he is one guy that does not annoy me at all! His job on the team is to be an agitator and he does that well. Every team has a player like him, it is because Tucker is so good at what he does, he gets noticed by fans. He definitely played a good season pts wise this year but the previous years he has done well also he just hasn't been noticed.
