Thirty-seven days to go, and with Wayne Rooney taking a turn for the worse, it's time to issue this Kick-O-Rama Toy Figure Doll (minus the watermark, of course) with one of those ski-boot like things he's been wearing the past couple of days.
The latest on Rooney, after yesterday's news: His broken foot has multiple fractures. England manager Sven Goran Eriksson says Rooney's still on his roster, though - big surprise there - which if he sticks to that tack should make for some unbearable distractions in about a month's time. For now, here's another Eriksson on Rooney's status:
"I don't know what that means but I'm not that pessimistic. I'm born that way. Miracles happen in life now and then, but I don't really know.
"I will not rule him out until the doctors tell me there is no chance. No one wants that to happen. Everyone hopes he can take part in the World Cup at some stage."

Hey Chris, this question has nothing to do with Rooney... but can you find out if there will be any Internet broadcasting of World Cup games? I watched many of the World Baseball Classic games and Final 4 tourney games online and would love to see the World Cup on the computer too.

Jeeves, as far as I know, there is no live online streaming of games. There was a deal announced in March -- but it was for China. Here's the link: http://en.chinabroadcast.cn/855/2006/03/22/501@65458.htm
