Here's one I spotted on the 401 the other day. Wisdom for the ages, young and old:

And here's one I first saw with my own four eyes many years ago on a Jaguar XJ-S Convertible in Yorkville. It subsequently showed up in a mass e-mail transmission on a Porsche Boxster. Presumably she traded the Jag in on the Porker.

Hi Jim,
My personal favourite was attached to a well-loved van (possibly a conversion, but I don't quite recall as this was some time ago now). It had some rust spots, was not even close to new any longer, and had the plate "GINVU" on its tarnished chrome bumper. I guess anything was an improvement on this old van...

I had a POETIC license when I lived in Saskatchewan and got vanity plates for a $75 one-time fee and plates and insurance for $350/year for my BMW 325is.
