I apologize (again) to regular devotees of this blog for being 'off' for a few days.

I expect ZERO sympathy for my travel schedule - five trips to Europe in the last eight weeks.

Although even my harshest critic might agree that taking three plane rides through four airports on a 28-hour portal-to-portal voyage - two of them on (S)Iberian Airlines (marketing slogan: "We're Not Satisfied Until You're not Satisfied") - isn't the ideal way to celebrate one's birthday.

All this travel also makes it tricky to maintain the blog. Not all airports have free Internet access, and I don't have a Europe-compatible cell phone or BlackBerry-ish device, so I couldn't "Twitter" even if I wanted to.

I'm more-or-less in the country for the next month; as always, I promise to try and do better.
