Another gorgeous day in one of the most gorgeous regions of this gorgeous province - the Burin Peninsula.
That's the tongue of land that sticks down pointig southwest from the bottom of the island and points to the French islands of St-Pierre et Miquelon.
Which surely explains why I saw a Citroen Berlingo microvan - a car not even legal to be sold in Canada - driving through the village of Grand Bank this afternoon.
We're doing OK, I think. As always, the results are on www.targanewfoundland.com.
We enter Day Five and the home stretch tomorrow. Rain is expected so that'll make it even more interesting! Our objective now is to keep it on the island and get that Targa Trophy plate. Anything else - if there IS anything else (a podium finish in Open is more-or-less assured if we finish at all, because there are only three cars left running in Open!) - will be a bonus.
Meanwhile, here's some of that gorgeousness I've been talking about, shot during the week.
This is the village of Harbour Mille:
Check out the right rear wheel in this one:

This is Greenspond. You can see why passing can be difficult:
And here's our intrepid team:
We'll sum up our week later on Friday!
Absolutely stunning pics with the Mini....I live in NL and still stunned by its beauty......always a great backdrop for good car shots. Good luck in the final leg.......looking at heavy rain today...keep her between the ditches.

Lots of European cars can be found driving around the Burin Peninsula. Many of the St. Pierrais take the ferry to Fortune, then drive to Marystown for shopping.
I have seen several Berlingos, a Renault Espace, even a Fiat Multipla, over the past few years.
Glad that Targa was good to you this year!
