Stefan Jacoby, newly-appointed president of Volvo Car Corporation following a long career at Volkswagen, gave the keynote address to the show.
Volvo, now owned by the Chinese car maker Geely, will remain 'Volvo', he said.
Europe, The US and China will be Volvo's biggest markets. The latter two want big cars, and Jacoby says Volvo will listen to the customers.
Maybe not an S-Class competitor, but bigger than anything they've ever done before.
