Ford is resurrecting a famous name from its racing past - the Boss 302.
Today we're testing the hottest Mustang at and around Laguna Seca race track near Monterey California.
In brief: 444 horsepower, fully reworked suspension, Brembo front brakes, and it's faster around this circuit than a BMW M3.
More details coming up in Wheels later this week.
If my computer screen could wrinkle, it would do so now as I salivate all over the place. Jim, does it come in red? I expect this beauty to be on the cover of the 2012 calendar. Mustangs two years in a row? Sure, why not.

I put in my order the day there were announced back in August before the dealer even knew what I was talking about. A fully optioned Kona Blue Boss 302, VIN 1ZVBP8CU3C5203972 is now built and sitting on a Ford compound somewhere. I can't wait to read the wheels section, but I can't wait for my car even more. And yes, it is replacing a BMW.

Hi Kevin:
Yes, "Arrest Me Red" is one of the Boss 320 colours.
I just thought "Parnelli Jones Orange" was more appropriate, given we were at Laguna Seca.
As for next year's Calendar Cover, it's in with a chance!
Cheers,
Jim

Hi Steve:
Lucky guy!
And I have to say, when we saw the Kona Blue with the white accents on the road, it looked tremendous.
Good choice.
Let me know when you get the car.
Cheers,
Jim
