Two doors.
Four wheels.
Famed British brand with a massive motorsport history.
And exactly 616 force-inducted horsepower.
Those details aside, it's hard to imagine two more-different cars than the Bentley Continental Speed GT (above left, as if I had to point that out) and the McLaren 12C Spider (the red one).
Hardtop / convertible.
Four seats / two seats.
Front-engine / mid-engine.
Four-wheel drive / rear-wheel drive.
Turbocharged W12 / supercharged V6.
Oh yeah, another similarity - they're both really, really fast.
I drove these two cars more-or-less back-to-back - well, same week, in different countries in Europe, a while ago.
I confess, I've been a bit slow getting the details to you.
But that is being resolved as we type - we'll have full reports on each in the coming week or so.
I'm not really giving too much away when I say you should be looking forward to both.
In the February 15 special section of the Toronto Star you showed a blue classic racing car with the number 13 on it. I have searched everywhere at the auto show for this car and other classic racers and could not find them. Did your column mislead me that I could see these cars at the Toronto auto show? Even the auto show managers and security could not tell me where these cars were. Please tell me what this photo was supposed to show for the auto show. I await your reply my email.

Jim, curious if you were driving a new entry level McLaren with a supercharged V6 engine? Last I remember the M4P-12C has a twin turbocharged 3.8L V8 engine. Have a great day...PS
