RUIN: Leafs fans break the code
The Leafs are going to “RUIN” the “Bruins” … that’s the only explanation I had come up with for the Leafs' secret t-shirts they are wearing during their playoff run...
As reported by our Damien Cox, the Leafs have had custom t-shirts printed for all their players as they try to make a push in the playoffs.
Cox reported no one knows what the acronym RUIN, printed in large block letters on the back of the shirts, means – it’s a big secret that the players are sworn to keep.
Maybe they just dropped the “B” because they’re going to RUIN the “Bruins.”
Or, maybe it is an acronym…but what would it mean?
Leafs fans chimed in and clearly, the secret has likely been broken...
An overwhelming majority of fans wrote us to say the meaning is quite simple - RUIN means Are You In, as in, are you in for the playoff push - all in for whatever it takes to win the Cup.
Makes sense. And I hope all the Leafs are all in tonight to take a 2-1 series lead!
But, if RUIN must be thought of as an actual acronym, some other suggestion came to us from fans as well...like...

Others said the Leafs were having some fun by leaving out the B and S from Bruins, meaning our boys are going to knock the BS out of the Bruins. Clever, but Are You In is probably the right answer.
Go Leafs Go. Cheers.
