It is unbelieveable, no teams are doing us any favours. The rangers are up on the Islanders. e need to catch a break.

Intermisssion.... Kulemin's hooking penalty? I thought it was a good effort on the chase....stick lifted stick and Kulemin's stick blade was facing out from opponent's body..
Hmmm, guess I gotta' reread the rules.

Denke, Ken. Had to rip home from a city hall photo deal... missed first 15 mins or so. But... I'm here, and I promise to be amusing at least once.

The Boston penalties, to be fair, were a little weak.

At least Boston is on the ocean and close to some of the world's great cities like New York and Moncton.

I thought Kulemin's penalty was actually legit - and I don't think it was a "make-up" call because when they replayed Brent's "penalty" it was obvious that Seguin jumped about three feet in the air to try to draw the call. I think he could have gone for diving, there.

Tonight I miss Bowen telling us what the Leafs' record is whenever they score a goal in the first period, "never mind the FIRST goal of the game". That always gives me a chuckle.

Getting a fairly smooth stream at vodkasports.com Moe.

I will probably miss most of the 2nd, but need to leave off by saying that if we trade Reimer for a no-name, unproven, snot-nosed little draft pick, I am officially ramming my pompoms where the sun don't shine on Brian Burke.

That said, I don't see Burke doing that. He didn't just fall off the turnip truck. Orrrr, did he?? Hmmmmm.

Wisely and respectfully listening to wisdom of Boo and all the ladies....Leafettes.
There's no debate.

Is it too late for a predictions?

9-0 Leafs!

What!? That (regular) season is almost over!

VM Replies: I can't believe I once relied upon you for *timely* psychic predictions.

Storm, you are not the new Toronto mayor are you. You know, the "piggy" one? That was mean. Especially if you are him.

Moe,you weren't being sarcastic about Moncton were you?

I think his name is "Steal Chevrolet." Isn't he a little too "much of a car salesman" for Toronto. Shouldn't Toronto's mayor be an attractive mid-forties female from Guyana or something?

Excellent prediction Alecia. Your euphoria is well appreciated.

Well folks, I have to check out. I have to go coach a football team. Don't really want to since I am here but that need me. Leafettes you will need to shake those pom poms just a wee bit harder for me please. Keep this Karma Ass-elerating.

Alecia! Welcome, where have you been? good to have another Leafette on board tonight

Vinay, give me a break, I can't predict anything with this team. No one can. Who knows anymore?

Actually never been to Moncton. I had a friend who lived their once. Best people in the world he said. People had sofas in their kitchens for socializing. He loved it. Well, he loved New Brunswick. Thought it was funny comparing it too NYC. Just a giggle for our Maritime friends.

can we just decline the power play? Seriously. Just tell the ref - no, it's ok, we'll still play 5 on 5, not a problem

Random sports fact texted to me just now: in Juniors hockey cup, South Korea beat Thailand 92-0 in 1998.

No matter where we end up this year, we can feel better than Thailand!

Oh FuddleDuddle.

Yeah. Wilson needs a raise and a contract extension. Seriously. What kind of a PP do we have. I mean, what are we attempting to do? Score one would think.

Double FuddleDuddle... still pacing!

Boyce on the PP?

Nasty Big Mac Attack there. Gotta be better than that #16.

Alecia- change your prediction, quick! Since you made your prediction, Boston has scored twice.

Nice.

Ah well... 'twas a nice push, folks. Deep down, we knew they'd fold.

Guess I'm washing off the lawn furniture early this year... v(ಥ ̯ ಥ)v

Almost two shorties.

Time to call a freakin' timeout Ronnie!

Maybe the master tactician should take a timeout.

Man the Leafs look lost in their own zone sometime. Like really lost. Like three guys on one and they don't come up with the puck. No anticipation. Leave guys wide open.

You're back PP. Welcome. It's rally time already.

Wow. A beauty on the PP!

Lupul

have my eyes deceived me? A PP goal? Maybe it is 1959 again.....

oh my freaking Lord... we scored on a PP!!! My faith has been restored... for now.

Okay now the famed Leaf Power play. It's gotta score sometime right?

UNDER FREAKIN' REVIEW????

That last comment wasn't from me... I swear... it was the evil me with a beard. ◑.◑

Kessel to Lupul. No distinct kick. It's gotta count. Huge goal. What a powerplay. Wilson is a genius.

YES YES YES YES.

GARY LUPUL!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!

Keep it going boys. Kessel shut Bawston up in a hurry there.

No doubt that is a good goal. Get it right War Room.

GO LEAFS GO!

Evil Stormcastle is banned. Good Stormcastle returns!

LOL, Moe. Dump buckets of water on your head 50 times, you're gonna get it in your eyes at least once.

Go Isles! 2 -1 over the Rangers! Keep it coming!

AHHHH! Okay okay!

5-3 leafs!

We needs us one of them "Sooperstars." We should get that bunged up centre from Pittsburgh. Or that Katy Perry girl.

Oy vay. This game is killing me. And... is Reimer getting soft? Eeep.

GO LEAFS GO! GO LEAFS GO! GO LEAFS GO!! oh great, now we're on the PK.... Lord, give me strength

Moe,

Boston is a cool town. I lived there for four years while going to school. If you are prepared to hang around the universities, there are lots of free or cheap cultural things going on. Also, the college hockey there is the best going — Boston College (my school) and Boston University (my wife's school) are among the NCAA best. Boston has some great architecture, also, and it's a terrific place for seafood (even the Legal Seafood chain is pretty decent). The beer is outstanding if you go for the craft brews. Also, make sure you tour the Sam Adams brewery, which no longer makes beer but does great tours with lots of free samples.

And, GO LEAFS, GO. Also, ass, etc.

Poop.

Awe. Hockey gods are telling us something tonight? Vesa Reimer.

I seem to have developed an addiction to the word "also."

Boston three goals on four shots. And a pinhead penalty to kill us. Please kill this Leafs!

"This has to be encouraging for the Leafs." Really? {•̃̾_•̃̾}

Okay, I arrived at a not so good time. Maybe the third goal was caused by me.

We will stick with Leafettes, as the majority of members have spoken. I have no issue at all.

I have my fingers crossed! Go! Leafs! Go!

Stormcastle, I was thinking the same thing. Reimer doesn't look as sharp tonight for whatever reason

hmmm... which bottle of Tums... fruit flavoured or mint. Should I dig out the 'lemon' ones?

Okay, now I'm mad. Boston announcer said "Komisarek a little howdy doody before summertime for the Leafs." Let's show them summertime!

Let me guess... another Leaf penalty.

Our Reiminister definitely not on tonight agreed.

Schenn not playing very well despite his lucky goal off Kabby.

Wanna see Komisarek and Lucic go at it. Komisarek needs vengeance!

GO LEAFS GO!

Nice knockdown by Schenn.

Lainey... have the milkshake Tums?

Stow those lemon thingies Lainey. Not yet. Not yet.

Let's hope the Rosehill rumble pumps the boys!

Wow. The refs are BRUTAL tonight. Just AWFUL. Phaneuf was hooked so many times on that little shorthanded rush that he had to change hands on his stick TWICE. Then Kulemin puts the puck down to shoot it out on the PK and his stick just disappears in his hands - and no call.

You know, I used to be just "Meh, whatever" about the Bruins, but I could get a serious hate going for them. Just a little thuggy for me.

Outstanding bout. Good job Rosey taking a 30 goal scorer off the ice for five.
You win the fight on that alone.
Glad the linesmen let them go. Tire Lucic out.

GO LEAFS GO!

You know, I used to like Boston - back in the Moog days.

Ok, this officiating definitely sucks ASS. Some definite leaf haters in the stripes tonight

Can we please has 10 minutes without Leaf penalties?

Was that a legit penalty to Phaneuf. Hard to tell with the feed. WHo cares.

passed on the Tums... went for a Vodka & Soda with lime (hold the lemons - advice taken, thanks Moe)

I used to love the Bears during the Terry O'Reilly, Stan Jonathan, Cheevers, Schmautz, Cherry etc.... days.

I LOATHE them now.

what's with all the Walmart quality hockey sticks tonight?

Nice rush and snipe Kool. Soooooooooooooo close to tying it.

That's what the Buds need right now: chocolate milk.

Don't rag on the refs mi amigos and amigas.
That is for hockey mummies. If you are a hockey mummy here then rag away.
Calls even out. Can't beotch about them.

Time for a Philthy or Grabbo goal special. Tie this up before the end of the period.

Man... this game is just frakkin' awkward.

What's that? A penalty to... BOSTON? ⊙.◎)

Okay, another PP goal before the period ends. I say... Kessel.

You know the game is messed up when commentators switch to baseball.

Andy Ference off. Just dandy.

Let's score another PP goal. A dirty Philthy goal.

Okay, the season comes down to the third. Can we score two more than the Bruins? Actually an OT or SO win would do fine.

Somehow every time I see Timmy Thomas I am reminded of Norm from 'Cheers'.
Just a regular guy. I can't imagine him ever ever hitting the weight room.

Great goalie though. Gonna win his second Vezina this year and rightfully so.

PP - oh, yes, I can!

But I rag on the refs every night no matter who's playing. They are pathetic. Yes, they even out, but whatever - I'll be the first to say the Leafs got away with one when they do.

@ moe - I know it's a bit late to answer, but yeah, that call on Phaneuf was correct.

Does the game look different on the feeds? If not for the refs this would be a fantastic game.I see a win here.Yes I do.

This Boston team looks pretty strong. I hope something happens to them in the first round, though, because that would give the Leafs a better 1st-round pick from them...isn't that right? I find that a bit confusing.

Great to see the Leafs hanging in there tonight. It's been a pretty tough ride and to be still in this game is really impressive.

Milbury just gave the business to Rosey. Whew, did he slam him. You were no Bobby Orr yourself Mikey. And you stank as a GM. Worst trades in NHL history while you were on the Island. Going off like he just did makes me dislike him even more.

And Jack Edwards saying at the end of the period that, "We are headed towards the final twenty minutes these two teams will play until next fall," annoying. How does he know that? Miracles do happen. Could see Boston again this year. Surely hope so.

Apparently Wilson is coming back next year - So, is Pierre looking for a job as an assistant coach? He has done nothing but, praise Wilson for the team, the speed, the puck movement and on.
Thought James gave up a bad one on the long shot. The short handed goal, tough to stop someone coming in across the crease because you have to open up to move across with them.
Good for Rosehill, Lucic, one of the toughest men in the league to fight. Kessel and Grabbo are moving the puck, but, we need to be a little tougher in front of TT.
Come on you young Colts, Chara looks tired, and if we are smart, we can win this sucker!
If we only had a power play, (take it Dorothy!)
Go damnit, Go!!!!!!

Oh baby, fasten your seat belts! This is it. We need some third period magic. NYR going down the toilet! It is now or never...NEVER SAY NEVER, GO LEAFS GO!!!

Loved Komisarek going over to Rosehill in the penalty box and giving him the nod.I hate to agree with McGuire but these bastards seem to give a damn about each other.I feel great about these young colts.

Does anyone have a good feed. Mine is so choppy all I can tell is that there is a game going on. Anyone?

Thanks to all for the great Bosotn info. It sounds like a great city. Albeit a city populated Bostonians and the ugh Bruins. Yik!

uhh... just an observation, but is our fearless leader not 'in da howse'?? Has he placed a crash-test dummy in his assigned seat in his place?? No wonder I'm not having a good feeling about this game... (heavy sigh)

Penguin... what would be impressive if there's no Leafs penalties in 3rd.
Penalties are putting too much strain on Leafs in 5 on 4 rushes... it wears the players down for when they're back at full power - and play gets sloppy.

BTW, the more I watch Aulie play the more I am convinced that we absolutely ROBBED Calgary in that trade for Phaneuf. Just FLEECED them. And I happen to like Sjostrom, too, even if Wrong doesn't. But Aulie + Phaneuf = Twin Towers of Hurt.

Still a few seconds left on the PP for Philthy to score Pyramid. I bet most people in here have no idea what Pyramid Power is a reference to. I remember it as a kid. It was pathetic really.

Okay the Bruins are already counting this one in the win column. Tim to give them a little lesson in "nothing to lose." Go Leafs, please Go!

I am watching an episode of Trailer Park Boys when Ricky has an arrow in him and Randy is hooking for cheeseburgers. Man I love that show.

Let's do it boys. It has to be. Don't let us down. Humble these Kaberle-stealing bastards. Go Leafs!

I worry when Rooney quotes Justin Bieber.
