I just have an aversion to it probably because of me Dad. Worst ref ragger/howler EVER! Used to embarrass me ALL the time when I was playing screaming at the refs. Teammates would ask me is that your Dad again dude? Yeah, it is. Sigh.

Wish our music people could do as well to pump up the crowd and players. Seem to be doing better lately though. I think they have been reading this blog.

WP I love this line and have written it in these blogs before: the Phaneuf throwin on the Aulie trade really making that trade work in Toronto's favor eh? Comedy gold. Wonder if we keep Sjostrom after this year? Will be interesting.

My favorite goaltender as a youth was famous for vomitting before every game.

I loved Glenn Hall. Inspired me to play goal, back when none of us wore masks, or helmets.

Oh and I really liked Johnny Bower who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Man, that Mike Brown is a hell of a player. He could have crossed centre and dumped that puck in, but he carried it into the zone and forced a faceoff. Line change and faceoff in Boston's end. Brilliant move.

Played some defense as well. Two of my favorite D-men in the early years of the Ottawa '67s were Denis Potvin and Ian Turnbull.

Being less flamboyant and never getting to win a Cup, I think Turnbull was underrated most of his NHL career. That's just my opinion and I confess I always liked him.

Very entertaining third period with the refs putting their whistles away.
Gunner and Aulie have both played very well tonight for the most part.
Thought we had the best of the third period, and more chances. Almost won it late with Lupul and Mac getting some decent chances.
Let's go win this now in OT or the SO. Get 'er done Toronto.

At the end of the day - and?
There is something about this passal of colts that just don't go away! There is more spirit here, perhaps than talent, but, the energy is obvious.
There is something, I don't know, something that is very intangible, deeper than just a group of skating freaks, chemistry?
The more I watch, the more I am convinced that this group of young colts are capable of much more. Watch us this year, we are good!
I TRULY BELIEVE WE NEED A COACH - WE HAVE SOME FINE TALENT - WE NEED NOT ONE BUT TWO TO THREE TOP LINE PLAYERS AND WE COULD GO ALL THE WAY!
But of course we will have Ronnie next year. (sigh)
