KNEW I sensed a ripple in the space/time continuum.
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 08:46 PM
Wonder where Spezza came from? Haven't heard his name since I tuned in, LOL.
Ah well... c'est la vie, kids. Almost 40 mins without Sens showing up, so I'm not too overly worried, *KNOCKING ON EVERY PIECE OF WOOD IN SIGHT*
Posted by: Stormcastle | 04/02/2011 at 08:47 PM
We are playing like confused kids in a sand box. Ottawa is winning most of the races, we are not skating.
Cory's boys are playing the trap, and this late in the season Wilson's boys haven't learned how to beat it?
Thank goodness there is no prize for neatness!
Posted by: Robert | 04/02/2011 at 08:48 PM
Quick poll: Who's worse, Pierre Maguire, or Glenn Healey?
.
Ties are not acceptable
.
Go Leafs Go!
Posted by: We BeLeaf | 04/02/2011 at 08:48 PM
Why did Mac leave the front of the net??? I don't like that goal.
Posted by: TimB | 04/02/2011 at 08:49 PM
Not too sure playing the trap will be a good idea if they're down by a goal or two, but whatever floats their boats, Robert!
Posted by: Wandering ASS Penguin | 04/02/2011 at 08:49 PM
Oh man, We BeLeaf, that is so not a close race. Maguire can really be shrill and get under your skin, but Healy doesn't have a room temperature IQ. In CELSIUS.
There's a clear winner there.
Posted by: Wandering ASS Penguin | 04/02/2011 at 08:50 PM
Hi everyone! A little late, but made it *whew* had company for dinner, and they left in time for me to watch the 1st and 2nd on ff. Fluky goals, but anything better than nothing, right? A little pissed about Spezza, but oh well. Still 2- 1
gotta bring the "A" game for the third boys!
optional clothing set, and pom poms in hand!
Posted by: oakville_girl | 04/02/2011 at 08:50 PM
Ah yes, the satellite hot stove thingy.
.
For those who might not realize it, the satellite shot they use in the background is of Ottawa.
.
Hey, where did the satellite shot go? LOL
.
So, the game is in Ottawa and they scrap the satellite shot of Ottawa and go with the Toronto skyline. LOL
.
I know, they've been using the Toronto skyline at night a lot more this season.
.
And I'm NOT complaining or anything. (g)
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 08:53 PM
Healey, by 32 car lengths, at least. LOL
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 08:56 PM
Robert - love the line about confused kids in a sandbox.
Keep the faith ... it is the only way we will win!
@Sens-Bill - nice to have you with us this evening.
@Lainey - Moe does look good with the shaved legs but sorry, had to push him out of my seat.
Posted by: Sue | 04/02/2011 at 08:56 PM
Had some hockey games to play today, but am now watching. Not Spezza! Crap. What's the word tonight? What's the dress code?
Posted by: enJoy hockey | 04/02/2011 at 08:59 PM
Pierre McGuire is puke inducing, just ike Boston's announcer for NESN.
Healey is not a Leafs homer, so what? Can't take it? We CBC watchers in Montreal have to endure Greg Milllen, Gary Galley, etc. who would rather eat a raw frog than say a good word about the Habs.
Posted by: LeGlorieux | 04/02/2011 at 08:59 PM
I'm not gonna say "oh-oh" yet. Let's not let this one slip away boys. Put it way early.
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:00 PM
The out of town scoreboards don't look too good right now. Can we hope that those teams can give us a break tonight? Go Washington! Go Isles! Go Jersey!
Bring on the third period!
Oh, and to get the mojo flowing...... ASS!!!!!
Posted by: oakville_girl | 04/02/2011 at 09:01 PM
@oakville_girl: Whew! Lainey, MissiDeb and Emma (who had to run) were getting concerned. The Leafettes are a little on the light side this evening.
But apparently TimB, Moe, Stormcastle & not sure who else have joined the club - clothing optional and all!
Whoo!
Posted by: Sue | 04/02/2011 at 09:03 PM
@loyal he remains
.
My pleasure to be here.
.
Like I've said all along, I enjoy friendly rivalry.
.
I mean i've always enjoyed watching games with fans for both teams in the house. That and some eats and a few 2-4s . . . Well, I think you know what I mean.
.
As for the Leafs winning, that's the present tense. What really counts is who in the end has won--- and there's a whole third period to go. (g)
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:04 PM
Out of town scoreboard not co-operating again. Remind the Leafs this is their season on the line.
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:04 PM
Thanks Sue.
.
hood to see you here tonight too.
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:05 PM
Who here was saying Sens were good at coming back from 2-0 games? Talking heads just said they were kind of bad at it, LOL.

WHERE THE HELL DID SPEZZA FIND HIS GAME AND WHY DID HE FIND IT TONIGHT???????
Posted by: oakville_girl | 04/02/2011 at 09:07 PM
Curses!

WHY IN THE NAME OF &*!% WAS KOMISAREK ON THE ICE KILLING A PENALTY?????
Oh my God....if you EVER EVER EVER needed a reason that Wilson HAS TO GO, well...THERE is is. You have GOT to be kidding me.
Posted by: Wandering ASS Penguin | 04/02/2011 at 09:08 PM
@ LeGlorieux, You're right, I can't take it. Maybe I should call the police for an investigation.
Posted by: We BeLeaf | 04/02/2011 at 09:08 PM
Oakville is up in this house!
Posted by: Stormcastle | 04/02/2011 at 09:08 PM
Don't even. Can you imagine if it ends here. Time to put the spurs to er!
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:09 PM
Sorry Sue.
.
G-o-o-d to see you here tonight too..

Hard to type with only one eye on the screen. (g)
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:09 PM
Toronto lad Spezza scores two to tie it on Saturday night on HNIC.
Why am I not surprised in the slightest?
News not good out of town. Sigh. Back to work.
Posted by: Pyramid Power | 04/02/2011 at 09:10 PM
Okay, no stupid futility here. PP goal is a must.
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:10 PM
I just want you all to imagine the length of the post by Sensi-Bill if Ottawa wins this. Think about it!
VM Replies: Oh, man. It's as if Lupul just heard you!
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:11 PM
I know someone said it here earlier, but I'll repeat it.
Can we just tell the refs - 'no, it's ok, we'll still play 5 on 5, we don't need the power play.
Posted by: oakville_girl | 04/02/2011 at 09:12 PM
Oakville_Girl
.
As I posted earlier today, Spezza lead the ENTIRE NHL in scoring points during the month of March.
.
I was sort of trying to prepare people . . .
VM Replies: Lupul has five goals in the last five games. Prepare yourself!
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:12 PM
@Moe - Breathe! Relax! We can do it!
Whoo! Told you!
Posted by: Sue | 04/02/2011 at 09:12 PM
Goal by Lupul!!!!
.
Go Leafs Go!!!
Posted by: We BeLeaf | 04/02/2011 at 09:13 PM
Go Gary Lupul!!!! LOL
LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPPUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLL! Way to go Joffrey!

LUPUL
Posted by: palbo | 04/02/2011 at 09:13 PM
I hate the sound of Healy's voice. Please Leafs, Please.
LUPUL!!!!!
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:13 PM
Frak them toasters! Err... sorry... hockey isn't it? LOL
GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Posted by: Stormcastle | 04/02/2011 at 09:13 PM
Now Moe, you KNOW I don't gloat. *smile*
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:14 PM
Come on let;'s get the fourth. No FLICKING around.
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:14 PM
Sensi-Bill - I know, Spezza is a good player. He's a good old St. Mike's boy, and cheered for him then, but I have to ask WHY, oh WHY does he have to take his streak into April against us????
Posted by: oakville_girl | 04/02/2011 at 09:15 PM
I swear to God, Reimer is made of rubber!
@Sensi-Bill - I know, it really is hard to type with one eye on the tv and the other on the computer, but fun!
Posted by: Sue | 04/02/2011 at 09:16 PM
As for the out of town scoreboards, all I can humbly remind people is to remember whom the Lord helps . . .
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:16 PM
C'mon Bill, a little gloat would be expected. I suspect yours would be epic.
VM Replies: It could be the War and Peace of gloats!
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:16 PM
And now Komisarek is trying to knock Reimer out of the game. What an idiot!
Thank God Lupul scored to make up for the empty net he missed. That would have haunted a lot of us for a long time.
Posted by: Wandering ASS Penguin | 04/02/2011 at 09:17 PM
I don't know how you did it Sue. WTG!
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:17 PM
Can't wait to see what Lupul will do next year. Really like the way he plays
Posted by: missideb | 04/02/2011 at 09:17 PM
grrrrrrrrrr Canes just scored. c'mon Washington, help us out PLEASE!!!!
Posted by: oakville_girl | 04/02/2011 at 09:18 PM
Let's bury them! The Montreal win puts them out of reach. Of Toronto that is.
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:18 PM
We're obviously missing Spezza's new scoring sidekick, young Eric Karlsson, out with a nasty skate-gash to his thigh.
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:18 PM
@oakville_girl - you made me spit out my beer with the Gary Lupul comment!
Posted by: Sue | 04/02/2011 at 09:20 PM
What a goon that Grabbo guy.
.
JUST KIDDING!
.
LOL
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:20 PM
if EVER we need a strong PK, now is the time
Posted by: LaineyTML12 | 04/02/2011 at 09:20 PM
Haven't said that much this season but that was a stupuid penalty by Grabovski.Huge kill. Duh.
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:21 PM
Sorry Sue - it's always a crime to waste good beer. :( What kind are you partaking in tonight? I have a Corona at my side... Not sure how great it goes with the Kale chips I made, but oh well...
Posted by: oakville_girl | 04/02/2011 at 09:24 PM
@Moe - just pure luck tonight - positive thinking - and a couple of beers!
Vm - you have some psychic tendencies - mentioning Lupul and then he scores! Let's see if you can do it again!
Posted by: Sue | 04/02/2011 at 09:24 PM
4-2 carolina, 3 -2 Buffalo
The Lord may help those.... but these teams are not helping us tonight.
Posted by: oakville_girl | 04/02/2011 at 09:25 PM
Darn, new guy hits the post in his FIRST NHL game.
.
Looks pretty nifty for a kid just out of school.
.
OMG. Just realized something. If Stephane Da Costa #24 does really well in the NHL he'll REALLY drive Grapes wild --- not only a "Frenchie" BUT a European as well. LOLOL
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:26 PM
Bad form, Ottawa... bad form!
Posted by: Stormcastle | 04/02/2011 at 09:27 PM
Wow, these Sens are awfully light on their feet. I am told Cox is tweeting about the diver Svatos and how that play could not have caused a concussion nor should have been a penalty. Now I am torn, I have hate agreeing with that guy.
NEVER SAY NEVER, GO LEAFS GO!!!
Posted by: Rooney | 04/02/2011 at 09:27 PM
5 min PP - do we get a goal on this one tonight??
Posted by: oakville_girl | 04/02/2011 at 09:27 PM
Yes, I sense a short-handed goal by . . . by . . . no. 9?
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:29 PM
Players hacking away in the corner at a puck always reminds me of playing Hungry Hungry Hippo - complete with sound memory.
Posted by: Stormcastle | 04/02/2011 at 09:29 PM
And a second shortie by . . . by . . . by NO. 26?
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:30 PM
has Kadri seen any ice time this period?
Posted by: oakville_girl | 04/02/2011 at 09:31 PM
Or maybe a hat trick for Spezza?
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:31 PM
What a miserable power play.
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:32 PM
@Oakville_girl - have a Sleemans Original Draught. Perfect for hockey games. Child and husband are asleep. Life is good (especially when te Leafs win this).
We should go to first home game next season! You in!! Who else? VM? TimB? Moe? Stormcastle? Anyone?
VM Replies: I'm in.
Posted by: Sue | 04/02/2011 at 09:32 PM
Am I making anyone nervous?
.
Sorry about playing around with the audio to hype the tension. (g)
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:32 PM
I don't know why Clewson was so upset at the major penalty, it's not like the Leafs would score on the pp or anything.
Sorry I'm being so negative, but sheesh!!!!
Posted by: oakville_girl | 04/02/2011 at 09:33 PM
BIG KILL, BOYS!!!
.
GO SENS, GO!!!!
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:33 PM
Can you guys believe that PP? Did I actually see that? Nah.
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:34 PM
Canes, Sabres, Habs all win. Who do they think they are, us?
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:35 PM
Moe - I know you've talked about the coaching staff with regards to special teams, but is it all the coaching staffs fault? When do we start to put the blame on the players?
Posted by: oakville_girl | 04/02/2011 at 09:35 PM
Who's Clewson?
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:36 PM
Listen to those fans!!!!
Posted by: Sue | 04/02/2011 at 09:36 PM

Toronto's third star tonight, No. 17, Filip Kuba!!!!
Posted by: Sensi-Bill | 04/02/2011 at 09:39 PM
@Oakville: Good question that I don't know the answer to. Seems to me a good coach would have a better pp. Not sure.
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:39 PM
Caps tie it up!
Posted by: oakville_girl | 04/02/2011 at 09:40 PM
Okay, so far me, VM and I know you are in Oakville_girl (no reply needed).
Even if we sit in the nosebleed section ... will be a hoot!
Posted by: Sue | 04/02/2011 at 09:40 PM
Sensi-Bill - I meant the Sens coach, but I guess I spelled his name wrong
Posted by: oakville_girl | 04/02/2011 at 09:41 PM
LEAFS WIN AGAIN! Good job boys!
Posted by: We BeLeaf | 04/02/2011 at 09:41 PM
Didn't you expect at least one of the Canes, Sabres or Habs o lose. Still a chance fort he Sabres.
Posted by: moe green | 04/02/2011 at 09:41 PM
Congrats kids.
.
And thanks.
.
At least we didn't slide uo the standings, and further endanger our lottery position in the draft. LOL
.
And yes, though *I* really don't gloat, I know others do, so fire away. (vbg)

Posted by: TimB | 04/02/2011 at 09:47 PM
@Sensi-Bill - sorry for the loss this evening!
To all of us Leaf fans: Positive thoughts will prevail ... and they did this evening. Almost time to go but want a list of who will be attendance at first home game next fall! Let's go people!
