Olympics Thursday: Here's what we're watching
Canada's women's eights followed the men onto the podium with a silver medal this morning. The Canadian men won the silver medal yesterday.
Canadian badminton players Alex Bruce and Michele Li made the most of an unexpected opportunity, advancing after being reinstated when four other teams were kicked out for trying to lose on purpose. They play in the semi-finals at 1:30 p.m. (all times Eastern).
The men’s 200m individual medley being billed as the swimming race to watch. Michael Phelps, who holds the record for most Olympic gold medals of all time with 15, meets countryman Ryan Lochte who is looking to spoil the party at 3:15 p.m.
Toronto swimmer Martha McCabe competes in the women's 200-metre breaststroke final at 2:40 p.m.
Bronze medallist Brent Hayden qualified for the 50-metre freestyle semi-finals this morning. The semis are today at 2:30 p.m.
