Water polo wardrobe malfunction goes live on NBC

U.S. Olympic broadcaster NBC opted to air Wednesday's women's water polo match live - giving viewers an unexpected eyeful from an Olympic competitor.

During the first quarter of play, American water polo player Kamie Craig grabbed the swimsuit of a Spanish opponent, completely baring her breast. NBC's underwater camera caught the whole thing.

The swimsuit slipup lasted only a few seconds. The game ended in a 9-9 tie, with Craig scoring four times for the U.S.

For fans not familiar with water polo, grappling is a common part of game play, so a little bit of underwater exposure is par for the course.

No word on FCC reaction yet, but Twitter fans were excited by the Olympics' brief bit of nudity, before returning to grumbling about NBC's prediliction for tape delayed coverage. And, after its brief Janet Jackson moment, NBC may be reconsidering its use of live underwater camera shots.
