Map(s) of the Week: How the GTA voted
![]() |
| TARA WALTON/TORONTO STAR |
Four maps look at the four largest parties’ support in isolation: Conservatives, Greens, Liberals, and New Democrats.
The next two maps look at turnout rates and how they vary between ridings, and second-place parties throughout the GTA.
There is a lot of information presented. Please use the comment section to discuss it.
Part 2 of the dog map will appear next week.
UPDATE: As far as I can tell, the maps should display properly in IE now. Please leave a comment if there are any further problems.

Patrick, these maps aren't showing up for me. I just get an empty box. Your earlier efforts show up just fine, so I don't think the problem is at my end. Could there be an error in the code? I love what you're doing, btw, and am most eager to see these electoral maps!

Hi, Chris -
Thx.
We had an issue with IE 6 and 7 earlier in the day, which had to do with the way Guelph is displayed.
They looked fine in Firefox, which is a lesson to test these things in several browsers before publishing them.
In any case, it should work now.

For some strange reason I can only view this when using a VPN, but I am behind a firewall which blocks a lot of web content, so maybe that's the problem.
