A series of retractable umbrellas provides shade to pilgrims in the courtyard outside the Prophet's Mosque, in Madinah.  The umbrellas open at sunrise, and retract shortly before sunset.

A four-star hotel sits immediately adjacent to the Prophet's Mosque, in Madinah.
