I am so happy to hear this. It wasn't the outcome usually seen in this type of situation. I hope he is okay after all this.

Great News that the little 3 yr. old boy, Kienan Hebert has been returned safely. Although the abductor committed a horendous act, returning the boy unharmed speaks volumes about the heart of the abductor. Sounds like a rehabilitating process might work for the abductor in this case.

What a great article to start the day with, especially a day so overshadowed by the tragedy of 10 years ago. It is also a reminder that many sexual offenders live among us, and often we citizens have no means to know if one is right in our back yard.
Or do we? The RCMP maintains the National Sex Offender Registry, but according to their website, "The public does not have access to the National Sex Offender Registry. It is a database that provides Canadian police services with important information that will improve their ability to investigate crimes of a sexual nature."
Why the secrecy?
The series Rapid Fire, published Feb. 10 to 14, 2007 in the Citizen, dealt with firearms ownership in Canada. Somehow, the Citizen was able to get a copy of the Canadian Firearms Center database of registered guns, and published a search engine at http://www2.canada.com/ottawacitizen/features/rapidfire/form.html so that a reader could find out, based on the first two characters of their postal code, the make and model of every registered firearm in their neighbourhood.
I for one have no objection to the Sex Offender Registry being made public via the same type of search engine, either available online at the RCMP site, or at the Toronto Star.
If it can be done for RCMP-approved and licensed law-abiding citizens and their legally-owned property, surely it can be done for sex offenders.
If it saves one life, it's worth it.

Wonderful news! Poor Kienan must have been terrified and emotionally scarred. While this is the BEST news his parents could have wished for, it really leaves one wondering.......... how could an abductor return un-noticed to the scene of the crime? Are the RCMP asleep or what??

It's great that the boy has been found safe and returned to his loving family. In the next day or two, the media may need to make the family anonymous for legal reasons.

In a large number of abductions of this nature there is the very tragic ending. Wonderful news! Hopefully they'll find his abductor real quick and put him away. He's obviously a walking time bomb.

To those who aren't aware that God answers prayer, I show you the return of Keenan Hebert. Now, if we prayed on an on-going basis for the protection of children and for those who are disturbed in mind and spirit, abductions like this would rarely occur. They occur because of free will, and prayers are answered because someone who was bent toward evil felt and responded to the intervention of God that was prompted by (has to be in this realm of free will) by prayer. This is thrilling and wonderful to see that little toddler free and happy once again. Thanks, God.

Thank God this child has been returned to his home. As a mother of 2 small children, I was very sad to hear the news of his disappearance. I prayed that the monster who took him from his home would return him to his parents unharmed. Why was this monster allowed to roam the streets when has a history of criminal activity involving young children and attempted abductions? Why are other criminals like him allowed to be out of jail when their history shows that they will commit another similar crime? Is a monster's freedom worth the risk of torture and captivity of a small child?

Almost restores my faith in human nature. Thank God! An actual good news item for once.

I personally don't think the supposed abductor is the bad guy in this. Something strange is going on here. Something that we're not really seeing that maybe the abductor is seeing. Mentally challenged people have very big hearts. They don't want to hurt people they want to help people.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
