Health Promotion Minister Jim Watson is taking his job to heart -- and to his pocket book.
He spent $250 to make up Halloween treat bags for Queen’s Park reporters and legislative pages.
The little brown bags were stuffed with healthy goodies like vegetable juice, sugar free gum, travel toothbrushes and floss. There was also a nifty pedometer, courtesy of the ministry, which can track the steps reporters take daily chasing down politicians for comment.
Not to give up on tradition entirely, there was a mini-chocolate bar at the bottom of the bag. Knowing the eating habits of reporters, that’s sure to be the first thing to go.
