Bloc Quebecois leader Gilles Duceppe mused early in the campaign about Quebec having its own hockey team. Now he seems he may want to declare a different Christmas too -- at least for the purpose of Christmas-card greetings.

Bloc spokespersons say that Duceppe refrained from sending cards this season because he didn't want to mix election campaigning with holiday greetings. As a result, anyone on Duceppe's Christmas-card list will be getting his best wishes in February -- after the election is over.
