When Paul Martin sits down later this week to talk to CBC Newsworld and CBC Radio, it won't be in his capacity as Prime Minister, as previously reported in this notebook. He'll be there as Liberal leader, just a working politician on the campaign trail, like the other leaders who have done spots already with CBC. The traditional "year ender" -- the type of wide-ranging interview we usually see -- is off limits to Martin on all parts of CBC this year because of the election. CTV and Global have made the same decision. CBC is being especially emphatic about the distinction. Duly noted...
