For a moment there, it looked like Liberal Leader Stephane Dion had casually rewritten party policy on the controversial topic of abortion.
Asked about his party's stand on the issue today, Dion declared, "I am pro-life. I am for the right of women to choose."
An aide quickly clarified that Dion meant to say he was "pro-choice."

Canada is a country where diversity is part of our strength. Yes, we have a leading politician with "an accent", and we have a G-G who is from Haiti. And to people with "an accent", imagine what it's like listening to all the rest of us day in and day out. And Dion maintains his grace and focus through all this.
