Harper muses about that other race

On the way back to Ottawa last night, Harper said he's been following the U.S. election closely.

"It's the Democrats to lose," he told reporters on his plane.

"Things are tough there and it's a Republican administration."

He said it's a safe prediction that the Democrats are going to win a majority in the. U.S. Congress and House of Representatives.

But Harper would not make a prediction on the outcome of the U.S. presidential election.
