About 100 party workers and supporters cheered as Conservative Party leader Stephen Harper boarded his plane before heading to London, Ont. With the remains of Hurricane Ike threatening rain, the Conservative-branded Airbus was parked nose-first into Hangar 11, so that Harper and company would not get wet.
