As the leader of the third party, NDP Leader Jack Layton is not used to getting grilled by the national media and it showed on his face today in Regina when he was being asked repeatedly why he opposed Green Party Leader Elizabeth May being in the leader's debate Oct. 2. Layton has always billed himself as the anti-establishment politician but found comfort in the establishment deciding to keep May out of the debate.

I have been an NDP supporter since I was able to vote. I will be voting again for my local NDP incumbent (Hamilton East / Stoney Creek) only because of the job that he and his staff have done since being elected 2 years ago.
Mr. Layton looked like a deer in the headlights on Sunday morning when asked by CBC's Peter Mansbridge about debating Elizabeth May, and refused to answer Mansbridge's repeated question in that regard. He has lost any credibility that he had. I have lost all faith in the party's leadership and its insistance that it is the moral conscience of Canadians.
