Thats a ridiculous statement. Where do you think Jack Layton eats his supper? On the floor?

Nicholas Cioran

Its interesting to see this, yet no comment that last night the seat that awaited Jack Layton was his seat at the local candidates debate in his home riding.

This is the same meeting that had been rescheduled to suit Mr. Layton's schedule. Too busy campaigning elsewhere, he sent Peter Tabuns, the NDP MPP, to speak in his place.

The moderator put the motion to allow Mr. Tabuns to sit in his place to the audience, who voted resoundingly to disallow Mr. Tabuns.

Perhaps Mr. Layton should look to his own riding as well as aiming for more seats for his own party.

Yet another hit job by brennan. I saw campaign footage from the beginning of the campaign where Layton was in a voters home. I bet they even have a picture or two on their website of Jack at a kitchen table talking to voters. I only ever bet when I know I am going to win so I checked and Bingo. Found some. Have you not been watching the NDP campaign. It is a very well run campaign and there is no way they would have made that kind of a slip up. Brennan you should just make it official and post your resume online seeking the gig for the communications director for the next liberal leader.

Nicholas - give me a break. Jack is running a national campaign as are all the other leaders with the exception of Duceppe because he doesn't have to and May who is back in the riding because she absolutely has to be. Don't kid yourself either, Ms May being in her riding for the last 10 days of the election has truly annoyed many green party activists. These 'concerns' are being raised by Liberal partisans precisely because they know that Jack can't be in his riding if he wants to run a winning campaign. Jack is running a winning campaign so they are throwing the kitchen sink.

jc from on writes: A group of us just finished watching Dion,s speech on CBC TV and each and everyone of us where nearly knocked off our seats.I think that it was one of the best political speeches I,ve heard in twenty years. The English part was beautiful, the context, the essence and the unmistakable unmitigated sincerity was something to behold. It makes the other (leaders?)sound rather silly.Three of the undicided people in our group, after listening to this awesome speech, are now voting Dion
