You gotta admit it's an eye-catcher: David Oh cuts the cheese.
Yes, that's what a copy editor penned over an article in SooToday.com about local Liberal MPP David Orazietti when he visited a Sault Ste. Marie cheese factory to drop off a government cheque for $45,000.
Adding to the fun, Orazietti is pictured with a slightly cheesy grin (sorry, couldn't resist) and wearing a plastic shower-style cap to keep his coiffure out of the curds.
And here we thought politicians refused to be pictured in those caps ever since Bloq Quebecois Leader Gilles Duceppe was photographed in one during a campaign a few years ago.
The $45,000 will go toward new machinery the owners of CRH Cheese Factory -- who actually did let their MPP cut and stir the cheese curds -- hope to buy install by Christmas to make ricotta and other specialty fromages.
That should ensure they can cut the cheese in the Soo right through the holiday season.
