Drats! I missed the One of a Kind Show media breakfast yesterday (don’t ask). So I absolutely have to get my sorry self down this weekend. Fortunately, it's the perfect activity for rainy Saturday afternoon. There’s tons of gorgeous, hand-made stuff to see, including ceramics, glass, home décor, jewelery, and fashion. I love ceramics and tablewares, so I’m going to make a point of looking up Sally McCubbin and Aaron Oussoren of TIMID glass in Toronto, who do some very cool things with glass, including making the lovely shallow bowls shown left, and Suzanne Ewen and Erik Ewen of mimiBe, creators of the ceramic bowl shown below, with its splash of fiery red, which is my fav new colour. The same team also makes jewelery. The show is at the Direct Energy Centre until April 5. Buy tickets online or at the door. Adults are $10, seniors and youths (13-17) are $6.50. Kids 12 and under are free.
