It was a lot of fun researching the history of melamine tableware for this week’s Hot Home Products column. So much great stuff to look at, including the new Rooster line from Williams-Sonoma shown above. Check out the gorgeous pieces from Stelton too. While I was looking for unbreakable dinnerware I also found lovely metal trays from Urban Barn, also shown above. These kinds of products not only look beautiful but they ensure that dining outdoors is safer and less hassle. The only area of outdoor decor on which I refuse to go for convenience is table linens. Sorry, but I just don’t do plastic tablecloths. Instead, I prefer something fresh and floral, like the cloth shown below from The Linen Way
