Clever kitchen idea

DIYPegboardWall (2)

Here’s a clever idea from Home Depot for a quick kitchen fix that won’t cost a bomb or take a ton of time. Adding pegboard directly on top of your current kitchen backsplash maximizes storage space and is the perfect way to add a touch of industrial chic to la cucina. The folks at Home Depot suggest that even for a beginner DIY-er, the project can be done in under four hours. And the cost? Just $65 for a 48- by 96-inch piece of pegboard. Spend a bit more and you can paint it out in a hot colour or stain it to match your cabinetry.

What’s that, dear reader? Speaking of kitchens, why have I not given you any details on the new line of Martha Stewart cabinetry that’s supposed to launch soon at Home Depot? In fact, I don’t have any details. It appears to be a secret. Sort of. But not really. Rest assured, faithful reader, that I’ll tell YOU as soon as I know more. In the meantime, I’m using my best investigative journalism skills to track down the story.
