Get out there and grill

The telegenic Canadian chef and television personality, Rob Rainford will be at the Loblaws store at Maple Leaf Gardens (60 Carlton Street) on Sunday June 10 from 10 to 11 a.m., signing copies of his new cookbook, Born to Grill: Over 100 Recipes From My Backyard to Yours. It’s a great summer cooking resource — with over 100 recipes and 20 menus, all influenced by Rob’s extensive travels and experiences. And if Rainford inspires you to get grilling, consider taking a trip to the other end of town to the World’s Biggest BBQ Store (see below). I was blown away by the selection and service at this place. Yes, it was worth the drive to Vaughan.

Duff Dixon’s outdoor cooking emporium has everything from the grills to gadgets, and is staffed by folks who really know their stuff. I’ll have an upcoming column on that soon, but in the meantime, it’s well worth a visit.
