Give Dad an experience he'll never forget - and the chance to rest up afterwards

Here’s a chance to offer the best of both worlds for Father’s Day — a chance to rest and relax, and to create an experience that will become an enduring family memory. Such a clever idea you had, Urban Barn (or your PR company!) The Canadian retailer has come up with a clever contest that could win dad a chair and an amazing day out. To enter, go to Urban Barn’s Facebook page, and explain, in 250 words, an anecdote that explains why Pops is the best Daddy-O ever. Ten top entries will be voted on, and Urban Barn will pick one winning entry, whose Dad will get the chair of his choice and $2,000 to spend on creating a memorable experience. Hurry, though, the contest ends at midnight on June 17.

The only catch I  can foresee is that my darling (aka the father of our four glorious kids) would have a hard time choosing which colour of Urban Barn’s Belvedere swivel recliner (I’m sure he’d pick this one) he covets. It comes in white, brown and grey. Not to worry, I’d tell him which one he wanted, gently offer my opinion. I’d also insist we get him one of Urban Barn’s Bettina Knit throw blankets — a lovely, nubbly blanket that would be perfect for those weekend afternoons
when he gets a much-needed chance to recline, read and recharge — because, after all,  it must be tiring to be the world’s most amazing father.
